The 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC is the result of a total-package approach to development between the Ford Racing motorsports and road-car teams. Engine, gearbox, aerodynamics, cooling, braking, suspension tuning, steering feel, even tire compounds — engineers and designers looked at it all. Transforming the Mustang Dark Horse into the new Mustang Dark Horse SC.
Performance-Enhancing Aluminum Hood
The new aluminum hood includes standard hood pins and a massive vent. This improves cooling and creates 2.5 times more downforce than the standard hood vent on the Mustang Dark Horse.
Purposefully Sculpted Front Fascia
The Mustang Dark Horse SC fascia is crafted from motorsports experience to maximize brake and engine cooling — while maintaining aerodynamic performance and iconic Mustang style.
Next-Gen Suspension System
Standard MagneRide® dampers feature upgraded hardware and software, as well as revised springs with firmer rates, new stabilizer bars, updated front and rear knuckles, and modified front control arms. This results in sharper, flatter, and more predictable handling characteristics compared to the Mustang Dark Horse.
Seven-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission

Directly developed from racing experience, the aerodynamic features of the Mustang Dark Horse SC with Track Pack produce an additional 620 pounds of downforce compared to the 5.0L Mustang Dark Horse fastback.
Carbon Exterior Package
The available Carbon Exterior Package adds a carbon applique to the front and rear fascias and replaces the mirror caps with stunning carbon fibre.

The available Track Pack provides even sharper cornering capability. A package-specific MagneRide calibration is built around the standard carbon-fibre wheels. While the bespoke compound for the Michelin Cup2 R tires was developed with learnings from the Mustang GTD.

The Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes significantly improve thermal management relative to Mustang Dark Horse, contributing to improved on-track endurance and increased driver confidence.
RECARO® Seats With Contrasting Accents
The Track Pack includes ultra-supportive RECARO seats with either Space Grey or Teal contrasting accents for a unique, showstopping design.
Michelin Cup2 R Tires
Paired with carbon-fibre wheels, these elite tires offer exceptional grip on the road or the track.
Variable Traction Control
This feature allows drivers to dial in the desired amount of stability assistance for dynamic driving situations, with up to five levels of assist. You also have the ability to fully deactivate the ESC system.
Carbon-Fibre Rear Wing
A new ducktail rear decklid increases the efficiency of the updated carbon-fibre rear wing by 10 percent.

Teal Accent Package
The Track Pack comes standard with Red accents including: Red Brembo brakes, fender, and decklid badging. While the available Teal Accent Package features Teal-accented fender and rear decklid badging, Teal seat belts, and Teal Tonic with Black logo Brembo brake calipers for jaw-dropping style inside and out.
Limited-Run Track Pack Special Edition
For customers who demand true exclusivity. The available Track Pack Special Edition is limited to the 2026 model year. It includes the Track Pack, Carbon Exterior Package, a black-painted roof, Race Red Brembo calipers, 3D-printed titanium paddle shifters and rotary trim from the Mustang GTD, as well as unique painted hood graphics. The cabin features exclusive Solar Red accents on the standard RECARO leather-trimmed Dinamica® seats. The rear seats are removed to shave even more weight. While the exterior is exclusively available in Shadow Black or Oxford White.
